John Balogh is a highly qualified health and wellness professional with a strong foundation in both movement science and hands-on therapy. He earned his Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology degree from Brock University in 2015, followed by a Graduate Certificate in Exercise Science for Health and Performance from Niagara College in 2017. Shortly thereafter, he became a Certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist (CSEP-CEP) through the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology.

Early in his career, John worked as a Personal Trainer, gaining valuable experience with a wide range of clients—from young athletes to seniors—providing personalized, in-home exercise programs. While this work was rewarding, John realized he wanted to deepen his knowledge and expand the care he could offer his clients.

This led him to pursue massage therapy at the Sutherland-Chan School of Massage Therapy, where he graduated in August 2019. He became a Registered Massage Therapist (RMT) with the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO) in January 2020 and also became a Registered Kinesiologist (R.Kin) with the College of Kinesiologists of Ontario (CKO) during this time.

John combines his extensive education in exercise science, kinesiology, and massage therapy to create well-rounded, evidence-based treatment plans. He specializes in working with athletic populations and performance-minded individuals and is also a Certified High Performance Specialist with CSEP.

In each treatment, John blends rhythmic Swedish and fascial techniques with deep tissue work and trigger point release. He also incorporates corrective exercises and movement strategies to help clients return to the activities they love safely and effectively.

Outside the clinic, John maintains an active lifestyle. You’ll often find him hiking with his dog, mountain biking, or playing hockey in his spare time.

Melissa is a Registered Massage Therapist, Reiki Master Practitioner, and Spinal Energetics Practitioner with 10 years of experience in the health and wellness field. After graduating with honours from Medix College in 2014, she began her journey at Orangeville Wellness Clinic, where she initially offered therapeutic massage to support injury recovery, chronic pain, and overall well-being. As she deepened her education, she integrated modalities such as Myofascial Release, Therapeutic Cupping, and Soft Tissue Release into her practice.

Throughout her career, Melissa has expanded her understanding of how the nervous system responds to stress, how unresolved emotions and trauma become stored in the body, and how our subtle energy system affects our overall health. Through studies in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Usui Reiki, and Yogic teachings, she learned how these ancient healing practices support profound healing and well-being. This knowledge led Melissa to incorporate energy healing and nervous system regulation into her practice, providing a holistic approach to whole-body wellness. In addition to massage therapy, Melissa offers Reiki, a gentle yet powerful energy healing modality that promotes balance, relaxation, and the body’s natural healing processes. Reiki can be experienced on its own or integrated into an Energetic Holistic Massage, combining Swedish massage and Reiki to release tension, enhance energy flow, and restore vitality.

In 2024, Melissa became a Spinal Energetics Practitioner, adding this transformative modality to her offerings. Spinal Energetics works with the spine, nervous system, and energy field to release tension and restore balance, addressing long-standing emotional and physical imbalances. Melissa offers Integrative Massage with Spinal Energetics, stand-alone Spinal Energetics sessions, and Spinal Energetic session bundle/packages which are designed to promote consistency in your healing journey, helping you benefit more fully from regular sessions.

Melissa’s passion for holistic healing continues to grow and evolve. In September 2024, she completed her Breathwork Facilitator Training and will be gaining full certification in 2025. She is also set to become a Kundalini Activation Facilitator in March 2025, expanding her ability to support both individual and group healing. Melissa’s work is a fusion of physical, energetic, and somatic healing, guiding clients towards their true selves, restoring nervous system balance, and supporting their physical health and vitality.

She is very happy to be at Orangeville Wellness Clinic since Fall 2014. She brings with her more than 130 hours of clinical experience along with additional outreach experiences; inclusive to working with athletes at the Toronto Goodlife Marathon and Nurses at Sick Kids Hospital. In my educational experience she conducted assessments and orthopedic tests to be able to provide safe and effective treatments. Melissa performed therapeutic massages on patients with sport injuries, repetitive stress injuries, postural dysfunctions, motor vehicle accidents and central nervous system conditions and designed remedial exercise programs and recommended self-care advice to clients.

As a massage therapist, she focuses on really listening to the concerns of each client and working with you to give you the most effective treatment possible using a variety of Swedish and advanced massage techniques. Melissa believes massage is an integral part of maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Her practice is based on preventative care through client education, self- care and regular maintenance treatments. Her skills include trigger point therapy, fascial release, deep tissue massage and the use of hydrotherapy. She also likes to incorporate the use of Hot Stones to help with stress relief through relaxation massage. She is adept in treating an injury at any stage, working towards rehabilitation, managing chronic conditions or illnesses, and in treating special populations including pregnancy, children, elderly and athletes. Melissa’s interests include sports massage and treating athletes, along with incorporating relaxing techniques to help to promote natural body functions. Melissa Donia is extremely excited to be a part of Orangeville Wellness Clinic to provide clients with the best possible care and look forward to welcoming you as a client.
